this is not coming from you not the little you, the 'i'
someone appears in inner vision and you sense
connection, energy they are held up in and by
and you know nothing need be said no prayer as commonly understood
just holding them in your quietness in the Quiet
this too is prayer
Pure Prayer Prayer of the Heart
arising out of the Silence for you have learned to live there
when you have experienced this with someone you may then open to it again and again
but you cannot make it happen again, it is not of you, the little 'i' - it is not gotten but given heart to heart
this given is a gift to the other and you... cherish it wisely

In contemplative spirituality, one enters silence to clothe the self in the native Silence we have lost our connection with. We have gotten lost in words, thoughts, and doings. Society encourages this sleepy condition.
This point of return, between the self and Self, we can call "heart" or "Heart." At some point, one may experience this prayer for others, wherein someone is seen spontaneously, and one learns not to try to pray in a conventional sense, but to know this meeting in the Silence is prayer, is loving the other. And in loving the other, you are being loved.

Most of what persons call prayer is a personal action. Such prayer is a form of prayer, but this Prayer is not personal, yet it is not impersonal. It is not of the self, but the self can feel the connection, the meeting. The self looks on, having become permeable for the Prayer - otherwise being uninvolved, not interrupting.
For me, I have discovered this kind of Prayer occurs with people I have a spiritual connection with. That union opens a gateway for the meeting, not person-with-person, but spirit-with-spirit in Spirit.
Also, this Prayer can happen at a distance, for it is not arising in time; it can happen at an assortment of places, for it is not arising from any space. The home of self, or person, is time-space. The home of spirit, or Self, is before and outside both.
The Prayer expresses Intimacy, where our connection already exists and makes the manifestation of Prayer as Intimacy possible. This is possible, for Spirit and spirit is one Intimacy. The spirit bears the traits of Spirit.
Last, this Prayer is not of any religion or spirituality, even as Spirit, or God, is not. Yet, one's spiritual path can assist in preparing for this Prayer, and one may understand what is happening within the forms of their faith or path. Still, one cannot understand this Prayer, for it is not of the mind, for it is not of the self. When this Praying is happening, one is surrendered to it, one becomes the opening for it to manifest, and the Prayer will not fit inside the beliefs or rituals of their faith path, yet it will not contradict true faith either.
